NavchetnaSansthan is a Non-Government Organization in India situated in Gadarpur in UTTARAKHAND. Having its inception in 2011, it is a residential treatment center for drug addicts, substance abusers and chemical dependants. The treatment model is based on 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) / Narcotics Anonymous (N.A.). In addition, self-help groups with yoga and meditation, further enhanced by motivational, inter-personnel and recreational therapies help the alcoholic/addict come out of their addictive, self-destructive personalities and bring back joy in their life as well as those around him.
Navchetna has a program that is well structured and provides an all-round atmosphere for learning, self-discovery, analysis and planning for the road ahead. Psychology sessions, an integral part of the program, is aimed at analyzing and understanding an alcoholic or an addict better and hence having a better chance to fix himself. Visits from motivational guest speakers add to the morale of the recovering alcoholic/addict.
